  1. To better understand the dynamics and lifetimes of clouds in the atmosphere in order to improve modeling and prediction of Earth’s climate.
  2. Large scale simulations of quasi two dimensional flows to better understand the energy cascade dynamics in turbulence.
  3. Topological aspects of active and passive scalar mixing in turbulent media.
